Texters nail 3rd straight win

Mark Cardona, Bryan Faundo and Rob WainwrightTalk 'N Text had little trouble in beating the sliding Barako Coffee, 95-85, for a 4-2 mark.

Mark Cardona had 17 points to lead 6 players in double figures for Tropang Texters, who led 78-56 after the third period and were never seriously threatened thereafter.

"It's a nice win but really disappointed with the consistency of our defense. We got to be able to find consistency all throughout," said TNT mentor Chot Reyes.

Sammy Monroe paced the Coffee Energy Masters with 17 points but was thrown out in the 3rd period for elbowing TNT's Mark Yee on the face.

Barako Coffee absorbed its fifth straight loss after winning its opening game assignment for a league-worst 1-5 slate. - www.abs-cbnnews.com
