Ivan Calderon picks Mayweather over Pacquiao: 'He got everything to beat Pacquiao'

Ivan Calderon his set to defend his WBO light flyweight title anew when he faces Jesus Iribe Saturday night, June 12 at the Madison Square Garden in New York.

The 35-year old Calderon is still undefeated in 34 pro campaigns and has one lone draw with Filipino WBC light flyweight champ Rodel Mayol.

Calderon has vowed to knock out Iribe on Saturday when he told the Mexican challenger to his face at the Top Rank's media day, 'you are going down and getting knocked out on Saturday night."

Calderon only has 6 previous KOs in his resume making his statements sound more like gamesmanship than a real threat.

In his appearance at ESPN's Friday Night Fights' studio recently, Calderon did share another comment that he sincerely believes in. Calderon predicted a Floyd Mayweather Jr. victory over Manny Pacquiao when the two do indeed lace them up inside the boxing ring.

Calderon said, "I believe Mayweather will win," and added "Me being a 'boxer' and seeing Mayweather boxing, he thinks in the ring, he gets hit when he wants to get hit, and he don't get hit when he don't want to get hit and I believe he's the stronger fighter, the movement, he got everything to beat Pacquiao."
